 -introductory

 This isn't your typical story. It isn't a mystery novel, it's not an autobiography.. nor is it a teen romance story. It's way different. It's all of them.

 Let's explain our main character a little.

 He's an average 17 year old boy. The type girls usually fall for, he's tall, dark, and quite handsome.  As a Senior, he's doing great in high school. He's playing on the basketball team, with scholarships for college being thrown at him left and right. He's taking the oppertunity, and going in high hopes of becoming an ER doctor. This is a story about Blade A. Riley. [The 'A' standing for Austin.]

 Blade has a wonderful girlfriend. Sitting at 16 years of age, wavy blonde hair, face featuring blue eyes of glass, a perfect smile, a few scattered freckles, and one of those noses referred quite often to as 'cute little buttoned nose' by everyone. She's a cheerleader, well on her way through her junior year in high school, and always on the honor roll. This young woman, Ashley Winkler, is also headed on the trip for college, in hopes of becoming a veterinarian.

 Ashley has always been good with animals, as Blade has been good with people from day one. It only makes sense anymore to them, this is their calling. Little do they know, their lifes are going to change drastically within the following years.

 They are both Christians, trusty followers in Jesus. Believing God has plans in store for their future, neither worry about what's to come tomorrow, but rather, live life one day at a time. Living above the infuence of peer pressure, neither have touched a drop of liqour to their tongues, a cigarette to their lips, and have always said no to premarital intercourse. Though both being in high school, where temptations are stronger than ever before.

 Our high school in this story is nothing special. Just a random little school put out in the middle of nowhere. Pokey Doak High by name. Located in Pokey County, not far off the city of Verdeville. Being the small town it is, news travels fast, and everything makes the papers. Blade and Ashley are constantly in them. "Pokeys' cutest couple helps out at the shelter this weekend", "Pokeys' couple helps with the towns' fair" things such as so. Being the most popular couple in town, everyone knows them by name, first, middle and last! Could life be any more amusing and/or exciting? One wouldn't think so, at least I thought.
