Save Testriffic.

So for a long time I have heard a lot of people talking bad about testrffic and with a few recent bannings those feelings of disgust are more noticable. People complain that Jseek isnt doing enough while at the same time complain when he makes desicisons and gets involved.

So I would like to ask you, what can save testriffic? What would you like to see and what can make this site more enjoyable for everyone. Do you prefer Jseek to be in the shadows not really doing anything or would you rather him run the site like most other sites do with a little more involvement and enforcement? Would you like to have him keep updating the sites but step back as an enforcer and let the people run testriffic?

Also what would you like to see from the average everyday person like me and you who logs in as users? Do you think our chats need to be thought out more, or what?

What can save Testriffic and make it an enjoyable site for everyone?

If we were to tell Jseek to stay out of it this site would turn to chaos. It would turn into garbage and honestly I would leave. If you post something your not supposed to you're gonna get banned. That is that, get over it.

The only way to get him to anything, much like a big business, is to get several people that agree with your idea/complaint and force a resolvement from the business or whatever. And as for the general feelings of disgust, well..."to each man/woman his/her own". Thats their opinion, not mine. Personally, I love testy. But thats just me.

So if an admin or mod of ANY website is banning for bogus reasons, its not good. Needless to say its bad for buisness because he probably wants all the traffic he can get as a webmaster.

I agree that banning to be an "asshole" is wrong I do not know if Jseek does this as I dont know most of the people who got banned or why they got banned. I know the sites I go on dont do it. One site, there is a strict set of rules in place (as the sites intended for younger audiences) and is very active in eforcing their rules. They are nice about it and there is a lot of respect there. The site Im an admin on doesnt have "written" rules but the admins and moderators do a good job and there is little discord there too.

I think the members need to all know that some behavior is not acceptable and some of the comments and attitudes are not ok. A lot of us do get into situatios once in awhile were we act less of what we should but people who antagonise others for fun need to understand that is not an acceptable behavior, that is what banning, rules, and limitations is all about

they need to learn sooner or later that theres bullies in the world that do certain things just to be cruel. if they have a prob with it, they need to learn to handle it. not run off and whine to jseek about it. only thing he should do on the subject matter is to include the option of a "private" or "public" page, and who you choose can send messages, etc.

i enjoy jseek lurking in the shadows and only banning when there is a problem. other than just banning to be an asshole, like what most sites tend to do. i like how testriffic is, though, something that comes to mind that can help improve it would be a "chat" section. which would be set up like a chatroom, obviously. this section, the social section, should be for posting of interesting finds, topics to dicsuss, fun videos you'd like to share, etc. rather than just the usual "im bored" or "im an attention whore, someone talk to me". a chat section would really make this site loads better

Great input guys, love the answers you gave about respect and responsibility. One of the reasons, I feel, that this online bullying comes in is because there is no restrictions so I applaud Jseek for getting more into the site and enforcing it more (tough I think in cases like Erica's where she doesnt know why she was banned I think she should know, if that includes seeding a message to him and him replying back or something. I dont know the situation so Ill leave it at that)

As far as advertising goes, it seems pretty easy. Im going to start an advertising drive next week. Yahoo answeres is a great way for a site to gain traffic, though not the best. I feel if all the members here pitch in a little bit we can get some awesome new members into testriffic to share some cool things with us. Im going to see if I can gain some traffic over on my site and its members. (well not mine but I help run it) as well as a few websitess I know. I would love to see people take charge in their online community for the better ad hopefully we will all have a good time.
