sad?

I got my solid white border collie, allie in jan 05 and when we moved she stayed with my parents since they have more room... now we moved back and found out she has heartworms... treatment is over 1000.00 and my husband doesn't want to pay it and my parents cant pay it either right now... she isn't having trouble right now but I don't know when we can get her treated... do you think I should push my husband because he thinks if she gets sick we should put her down.

Yes it makes sense.

Look at it this way: He cares about himself & spends time on himself SO he can get the free-time to spend time WITH you and CARING about you.

Why don't you get a job? Make a fundraiser or something. It's a matter of reason vs. emotions. One grand that could be put towards yourself & your family spent on a dog that'll die in 5-20 years. One grand to either save a life, & make it the happiest dog in the world. Or one grand wasted that could've been spent towards your family in this economy.

I personally would spend 2 weeks with the dog, then put it down once the heartworms evolve to something more harmful.
