Bizarre places to live?

We have a country fair here that is relatively well known. I didn’t go last year, but deciding to attend this year searched around came across this video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=d2b1yVFNnEE I think I’ve lived here so long I forgot how strange it is. The fair is like a concentrated demonstration of what ‘normal’ means here. People dress and act in this manner all throughout my city on any average day of the year. It’s not at all unusual for a person dressed like a forest fairy with flowers in their hair to sit next to you on a city bus on the way to pick up their kids from school. I’m quite curious if anyone lives in an area somewhat…eccentric? In retrospect and forced objectivity I recall living in very conservative and mundane environments growing up. Not that I despise living in hippy town, but I’m quite curious if it has become normal for most cities to evolve into something loony. But anyway, if you just so happen to venture into Oregon this July, don't let me dissuade you from attending...50,000 other people find it rather enjoyable:)

At our tri-state fair it just ends up in a bunch of gangfights.

Man one time in philly my buddy was walking down the street at 3am and he saw a dude riding a skateboard. the dude was wearing this giant tomato costume and passing out pamphlets for something. My friend asks. "dude, are you a mutherfuckin hientz?" the tomato just smiles and says "NO, Im a mutherfuckin polumbo!"
