If you give what you do not need, it isn't giving. It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing for others.

also Thomas Hobbes (generally a douche bag) he is a philospher that had this same arguement with a prist one day. on the street while they were debateing they passed a homeless man and Hobbes gave him some money. The prist said see there altruism! Hobbes said I didn't give him money for his benifet but to relive myself of the feeling of disgust.

Thats the funny thing for "Karma" and Altruism. There is no such thing as true altruism! doing good deeds to get good Karma is selfish. and rooted in greed. And Greed is a negative motive. Thus bringing negative Karma. there is a saying. "im ok, your ok" it comes from a karmic principle most westerners don't understand. In most instances helping someone out means you are telling them they are worthless. then another saying also comes from this "no good deed goes unpunished" the original goal of Karma is not to add more and more positive Karma but to reduce all karma so you have neither credit nor dept and are free of the cosmic wheel and can return to where you belong.

I try to rack up as many Karma Points while driving especially, cause you never know when you're gonna need someone to stop for you.

This lady's car broke down today, so I stopped to help her, and good thing too because she didn't have a phone or anything, and it was a really bad part of town to leave an unattended car. So I let her use my phone and waited with her till her husband showed up and got her car started... I don't know that I would call that a deed, more of a moral obligation... If I wouldn't have stopped it would've tormented me and I would've been thinking about all the possibly terrible things that would've happened had I not stopped... And I found a cute little puppy walking around on the high way entrance, and read the tag and got him home... I'm one that can't not help though...
