yeah I hear ya, that's gotta suck, I enjoy storms, but they freak my wife out, she's the same way, wanting to camp out in the basement everytime we would have a tornado warning. But I feel that if it's my time to go, then I am gonna go whether I am in the basement or on the roof, so why not sit on the roof?
We have had a few earthquakes her where I live in Texas. The first one I was in the bath tub and didn't even notice until my mom told me when I got out lol. I haven't felt any others but there have ben some. We don't have hurricanes either. We have slight flooding. I live in tornado ally but there have never been any in my city. We get lucky and they always come down like right outside of our city limits.
yeah, i'm the one in the tropical storm/hurricane, finding a 10 story parking garage to park my car at the top of, and moving all expensive furniture to my upstairs, then taping up my windows, stocking my pantry with canned food, emptying out my under the stairs room to spend the night in, not taking any chances after what happened to the east of me (katrina) literally
I would love to be in a ropical storm, hell even a hurricane even. The only catch is, I wanna be the idiot holding onto the street sign, while the winds lift my feet off the ground. If it can lift my fat ass, only then will I be impressed
Well, everything that happens in this part of the country tends to be minor. Anything strong, like the Hurricane of 1938 or the Great Worcester Tornado or the Flood of 1955 or the time Boston got flooded with molasses and caught fire in 1919 ... yeah, rare moments.
