would you like paper or plastic

anybody hear they are making it a law to use only paper or cloth bags agian? Not to mention they are suspose to do away with plastic pop bottles and milk jugs.. going back to glass! I love this idea! I am a cashier and I have opted to use the paper bags if size allows it. It surprises me how many people hate the paper ones. If you litter a paper bag it will melt away. Them plastic bags and jugs will live on and on. I am not a nature nut or whatever but I am loving the idea something may actually be done for the future. Lots of people love the paper bags. But at work seems the plastic bags win about 70% Just wondering if you went into a convenience store and got some candy bars and a pop... would you want paper or plastic???? and why

Plastic bags are what we use. Paper bags handles break too easily. Plastic coke bottles are cheaper than the glass ones.

People only hate paper because it is so hard to carry..... like, we only get plastic because we never use a cart to load up the car and, it's so hard to hold paper bags because there is nothing to grab onto. Plus, we recycle our plastic bags....

that makes more sense, i think they shouldn't have bags for candies, unless they are the small candies that come in plastic bags, cakes and whatnot would be handy in a paper bag, but chocolate bars and pops, i think they could do without. one thing to consider though is how many trees we'd have to chop down in order to have paper bags, hopefully we'll be able to afford to make the switch ^^ Never had those types of bags in chistmas... we just get ordinary bags all year round

ahh, i re read my comment down there. How i meant for it to read was... I think instead of the standard issue brown paper bags i think they should make them like the birthday gift bags and christmas bags the kind with the handles that are more durable. Paper bags are NOT very durable for anything heavy. They are great for just a few things. The smaller brown bags for candy bars, cakes and a pop, instead of the plastic bags for such light things. Hope this makes more sense lol I am tierd but not sleepy.

wouldnt it be could if stores would have cool cloth ones. free with purchase. Of corse then we would have tons of cloth bags in all the kitchen drawers and everywhere. If we had to bring them back to the store to re~use I would surely forget it. arrrgh. lol

might be easy for you to say paper, i grew up and have never used a paper bag so i don't know how durable they are ^^ down here they made a type of plastic bag that is extremely durable, it's still plastic but it can be used over and over and over, meaning you don't need to discard it, but still, i suppose they could do better ^^
