Starting from our inception?

Revolutionary War, showing other countries that Enlightenment ideals WERE possible.
World War I, where our presence had Germany back out of the war. (which, by the way, Britain and France punished Germany severely for, leading to...)
World War II, but props to all Allies for this one, really.

Hell, how much money does every fucking country in the world owe the United States? What freedoms would not be possible if there were not an overpowering force to oversee them? Before the United States became free, all Europe consisted of were Kings and Nobles, keeping power away from the peasants. I'm not trying to say we're the best, but United Kingdom is a LONG, LONG way from throwing stones.

dragging along the world for 200 years, dragging the world down for 200 years, if it werent for the great america, the rest of the world mostly the u.k wouldnt be in so much fear over terrorist attacks, its that americain ignorance that you have just shown that makes you the most hated nation in the world. and before you say it yes america did play a huge role in world war 2, but apart from that what the fuck have you done to apparently drag the world along

EX. one new years eve I went up to the beer distributor to get some drinks. When My friends and I pulled up. we saw an old highschool friend with three people about to attack him. one had a gun drawn and pointed at his chest. my friends and I got out reluctantly and drew our knives. we said "terry you need our help" he waved us away. then said to the dude holding the gun. "Unless you hit me in the head I figure it will take me about 8 seconds to die, in that 8 seconds I will carve you like a thanksgiving turkey" then he spit on there shoes....the dudes backed away slowly. I was shocked. I thought at least someone was going to die.

Me Im a knife person. Ive defended myself with a butterfly knife or dagger on 8 different occations. I hate guns. I like when my enemies have them....gives them a false sense of security. Plus generally people that have guns are afraid.

and by "most irresponsible" would you be refering to the most money and man hours spent supporting other nations in history. cause if draging along the whole world for 200 years is irresponsible.....If I had my say we would let England be swallowed up by the European Unions.

Causing death is not a serious responsibility. its the general order of the universe. Equaling the playing field of the general order of the universe is the great responsibility that the "most irresponsible" nation is proud of.

Guns are also "designed" to protect. Just because I support the Right to Bear Arms does not mean that I think toddlers should be buying AK-47s. There should be SOME limitations, though it is not up to me (it never is, unfortunately) to decide what those limitations are. I do think the average person should go through an extremely small hassle (such as proper gun use training) in order to acquire one, and their choices should be limited to handguns and rifles only (automatics and semi-automatics ARE designed to kill). The argument for "most irresponsible nation" is mostly subjective, but it could easily be turned around on a long-surviving nation (such as the United Kingdom).

you seem quite intellagent, so why are you supporting a legisation that is so dumb, of course we shouldnt ban cars. cars are designed for transportation, guns are designed to kill. its amazing that the most irresponsable nation gets a right that requires so much reposability

I'm not going to try to minimalize school shootings or anything, but the amount of kids killed are extremely low in comparison to U.S. population, or U.S. growth rate. In an extremely inhuman point of view (which is what you need in order to think clearly), they would only become a "problem" if our population shrank directly because of shootings. I understand why people die in gun-related deaths. It's because someone else wanted that person to die, and used a gun as a vehicle for such. It is not the gun that kills another, it is the person holding the gun. People use cars to kill other people, should we ban those too?
