led zeppelin, who are heavy/progressive/phsycadelic rock/ folk/eastern/heavy metal. Pink Floyd, progressive/physicadelic/heavy rock/folk/experimental/indie/rock opra. There's two brilliant bands that cover a wide range of genres, thats why i belieive they were the most creative and most diverse bands ever

Type O Negative. They are Doom/Black metal. I always like All That Remains, they would be considered Heavy Metal/Hardcore. Angels & Airwaves is amazing. They would be considered Alternative/Experimental.
