Ever have that weird feeling about someone?

YES I DO....but the person is my bestfriend, we tried to "date" and things got weird. and so nothing ever came from it, but i still like the person just as much as i did, if not more and wish something could happen

My point is that "You like the person." And "You don't dislike them, " aren't contradictions, thus but isn't necessary. And would make more sense there.

You see them in only friendship, but there is something strange about them that you can't put your finger on, more than friendship, and you feel that... even though you really don't. It's weird, but I feel it. It's hard to explain, really.
