How come

people are selective, and pick and choose who to befriend who not to? Why is it that, if your views are slightly different or do not mirror society's mores, you are cast out and people all of the sudden don't want anything to do with you? I don't understand. I know that in today's society, there is still racism, sexism, and a lot of opinionated views, but why can't we all come together as a whole (democracy), and figure out a way to work together? I'm sick and tired of hearing about all the shit that happens in America, just because we can't come together and work through our nation's problems as one being. What are your views on this?

The majority of people are self involved, know it all, and desperately do anything they can to be normal and fit in. Basically copying what is popular and putting down what isnt. I say live your own life. People will always be that way especially when they are young.
