DAILY GRATITUDE LIST What are you grateful for?
There seems to be quite a bit of depression in the threads and I have found that a gratitude list is something I can do to redirect my focus when I am feeling down. There’s an old parable about the two dogs fighting, where the question was asked, “Which dog will win?” and the answer being, “The one you feed.” Our thought life works a lot like that as well. Which thought will win? The one you feed! If we dwell on all that’s wrong in our lives we’re feeding the wrong dog. Taking a bath in our own misery, just creates more misery. I think sometimes people just want to stay in their shit because it’s warm there. It’s familiar, and strangely comfortable.
