When is a female child too old to shower with their father?

I have a friend who still showers with his daughter and she is 10 and although I don't believe he's a child molester or anything, it sort of left me feeling a bit odd about if that was appropriate at her age. I've never had children nor am I saying this IS wrong. I'm just curious as to what you all think is age appropriate for fathers to bathe their young daughters?

I have two kids of my own and showering with them when they turn ten is not right. Well I would say that it depends on if it's the father like you say and also on if it's a girl or boy. If it's a girl I would say three, if it's a boy I would say three or four but showering with your daughter when she is ten that is gross and wrong. The child of the oppsite parent should not know what your body parts look like at that age. So I would say it's wrong. I would also talk to the kids and the parents about it.

Well since my dad wasn't ever around I don't know about that.. I probably stop taking showers with my mom at about 7

Ok... In my view its REALLY wrong. I mean I never got into the shower with either of my parents, I mean when was like 8 and 9 I started showering and well I'd use the shampoo too and mess around with it, and my mom would just tell me to knock it off from outside of the shower, she wasn't physically in the fricken shower with me! Then when I was 10 I started showering on my own. This man has issues. You should talk to the wife, and well I'd talk to the little girls and ask them if their father does touch them in inapropaite(SPELLED WRONG, I KNOW) ways.

i still think its wrong.. i meen if the daaughter has a problem she can just call out of the shower to him... and at this age they should kinda KNOW WHAT TO DO in the shower..

I agree as do most of the people that were talking in this thread...she should be able to. The concern is wether it is as extreme a moral problem? it was alluded that although it could be disturbing in this instance malice or some nefarious plot to check out his daughters fun parts were not detected. Also I wonder if you've ever cared for a young child...you'd be suprised what they can't do on there own.

so then you just came out of the womb with the ability to get yourself both in and out of the tub safely and the ability to swim. Also had the knowledge of how to apply soap and where too. Not to mention the proper amounts of hot and cold water to use.

well i don't think that is normal. The dad is checking out his daughter naked and the daughter sees him naked...EWWWW! I never took showers with my parents. That's wrong.

Well do the girls have any disabilities? As a single parent it must be hard not having the help of your beloved. Maybe seems as overprotective as other parents....about other subjects. It's a very debatable subject.
