No One Reads Anymore...

That must be the reason why really shitty books are making it big. The world of literature is decaying, thanks in part to "Earagon", "Twilight", Laurell K. Hamilton's big books of sex, any vampire books that only feature elaborate love tangles, the loss of originality and being creative. Books have become over-cliched soap operas, peddling the same junk to people who are willing to swallow. Please! People, demand good literature! Just because shit is being written, doesn't mean it has to be accepted.

Another good author right now is Kelley Armstrong, The women of the otherworld series. Also Sherlyn Kenyon is an ok author. Love the greek myth stuff which she's great at!

I just got Iron Kissed, and in my opinion, it was the best one yet, I loved it. Patricia Briggs is definately one of my favorite authors. I've heard of Karen Chance, and Vicki Pettersson, but never picked up their books. I'll have to take a look now at the two.

I know! I really like her books! I havent read Iron Kissed yet. Is it as good as the last? You should look into Vicki Pettersson or Karen Chance's new series is also pretty good.

If people like modern vampire/were--wolf fantasy, then the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs are very good. Moon Called, Blood Bound, and Iron Kissed are great books, the series compelling and interesting, and a main character with depth and personality.

I'm so happy to see that others recognize the shit that is being sold. Badly written rip-offs of great classics, like Eragon, and over-cliched soap operas, like Twilight, need to stop.

Kate Forsyth is a great writer, for fantasy lovers. She creates this fantastic world, Eileanan, with witches and celtic mythology.

If anybody's looking for a new original read.....Look for Vicki Pettersson. So far some of the best I've read recently. She's not a fast writer though. she's going on her third book. It's called signs of the zodiac.

I read the very first Nancy Drew and never read anymore...it was that bad...but then again I was a Encylopedia Brown fan myself. But Twilight is shit...basically, house wife porn for the kiddies...

But I do agree. Shit is being written. I'm dissapointed that most of the books are becoming about sex. It sickens and saddens me.
