Religion is a belief

Religion is a belief that I cannot believe because it interferes with my other beliefs. Here are some quotes from the bible:: Genesis 2:7--And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became living. (I choose to believe scientifial facts on this one). Genesis 3:16--Unto the woman he said, will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee (this is one I highly disgree with for many reasons. I don't believe in sexism-this clearly is. I believe childbirth is beautiful and happiness, not with any sorrow. Finally, I disagree with this because natural urges are instilled in women as much as man in that we don't only lust after one man our entire lives). Genesis 5:5--And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died (science also shows that life before now was proven to be shorter than the average lifespan of today-not longer). Genesis 17:14--And the uncircumcisedmn chld whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken his covenant (this speaks for itself in all it's bullshit glory). Genesis 19:34-- And thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father (Incestual habits are deemed appropriate here). Exodus 21:4 ~speaking of servants~--If his 'master' have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughers; the wifeand her children shall be her master's; and he shall go out by himself (this is condoning slavery and owning actual people. It condones one man thieving another man's child AND wife: is there anymore to say to show the insanity of this?). In Leviticus 12:2-6, it tell all about a woman needing to be in hiding during her monthly and the need to be purified after childbirth. If it is a male-she is given three days of hiding, if it is a female she is considered 'unpure' for two entire weeks of hiding. She must also present a lamb offering to repent for her 'sin' of doing what God was telling woman to do in the frt place. This book is the biggest crock of ninny bullshit I've ever read. And I haven't even finished the first few sections.
