Why do people judge you by your music?

They do it all the time. ppl don't care what they think. Everyone has there own kind of music! Who gives a fuck what they think! Right?

Music reflects the listener's personality, there's no simplier way to put it. People choose to listen to different kinds of music, based on who they are as a person. Music offers a easily visible (or audible) facet of who a person is. There's nothing wrong with people taking advantage of that accessible facet when dealing with others. Besides, I rather judge someone by the music they listen to, then their clothes, popularity, or how 'pretty' they are. Music is far more truthful.

How would you know?? People say emo/scremo/metal is annoying and that you'll need to get a life. They say country is for rednecks. They'll tell you rap/hip hop is for thugs that think they know it all. Trust me... I get it all the time. I listen to all types of music.
