The Successful Woman.

Does a successful woman scare the men away. I plan on being very self sufficient in funds and in my own life (Start med school this year) Does a woman providing for her self and whatnot scare men away? Would a guy date a girl who was making more money than him?

I can see no problem with a woman being more successful, that is for a real man. I myself think that a successful woman is more attractive. I like to see women with goals and ambition, women that want to better themselves...

For all of you that think a man has to be the "Bread Winner" and that a womans place is in the home, grow up little boys...

Interesting points you all bring up. I wanted to also bring up the point as to when the woman becomes successful. I think it would be different if the relationship was established and then there was a sudden shift in 'bread winner' as apposed to the woman being successful first and then the relationship being established. I think if the latter were to occur it wouldn't cause strain on the relationship (or at least not as much strain as the "shift" idea). Am I wrong in this assumption?

Now there's a nice speech. Perhaps you could sew your lips to women's asses. Fake ass. He was right about it bruising a man's ego tho. Men's role is usually to be the provider and it just seems unnatural to have a woman making more. I just imagine that it would change the dynamic of the relationship if the man went from being the bread winner to the woman being the bread winner.

Good topic! most guys, and i say this lightly, don't like it when women can show them up. We men are very prideful when it comes to making a living. as far as i kno we r brought up to try our hardest to make sure we can provide for our lady and family. however, as we hold ourselves accountable for making sure we're "top dog" we should b willing to yield to the ladies superiority when it happens. this is when our ego and arrogance come into play. if we see a woman being more successful than us we feel ashamed (or at least for me anyway), it's like sayin we were not good enough. weither u kno it or not u women r more in control than wat it seems. a man is not complete w/o a woman (unless he's gay), so its more like u women choose us instead of the other way around. but we guys don't show this, instead we hide it by boasting ourselves up to make us superior n ever way. U, from wat u'v said, r a very successful woman and if the man is afraid of that then he really isn't a man now is he? a true man fears nothing and is willing to except defeat. this is called "A Man's World" and u have made it better than some of us men have so far, and where would men b w/o women? i'll tell u where. living alone, working a pointless job, coming home everynight to our hand and a porno. thats where we'd b. so, finally, to answer ur question...Yes a real man would date a woman making more money than him, but a boy wouldn't.
