Washcloth Vs. Soap

So, this is a weird thing I've come across. White Americans don't use washclothes when bathing themselves. They just rub the soap across their bodies...gross. I'm not sure if this is true across the board. My family is mixed, my mom is Jamaican, so I was raised using a washcloth, or shower-puff when bathing. Certain friends of mine, who are white Americans, don't use washclothes. So now, I ask all of you Testriffic users. Do you use a washcloth? Or does one simply use the bare soap (no pun intended)?

I use a wash-rag. Always have. I use a white one so I can bleach it. I always use a clean one. I feel the need to scrub off dead skin cells, that's why I prefer a cloth

yeah i don't see the big deal with the bar, although i use a loofah and liquid bronners soap, and a seperate little exfoliating cloth for my face with a seperate type of soap that has aloe and walnut shells, all this is because my shower routine is overly girly, soap and bare hands can lather just as well as anything else

lol, i know right? what's the big deal? i think it's grosser to have a festering rag that is a germ-catch and use it over and over... i mean, unless you're using a new one every shower the things probably doing more harm than good realistically.
