I have a lot of questions concerning the bible and I'm sure others do too, I was hoping that some Christians here might be able to answer my questions.
There have been many instances of 'female leaders' in the Bible. Deborah, the prophet. Ester, who pretty much saved everyone. Women can be leaders too...according to God.
Well, that was a horrible argument. No offense, of course. How does you thinking that the Bible has been changed justify not going to church? And how is believing that Jesus was perfect because He's the son of God logically inconsistent? It's not ridiculous, it's truth.
curse words is not mentioned in the bible, it says not to call your fellow people a fool or idiot, so dont insult ppl. Curse words were obviously invented by judgemental fascists. and women it says are allowed to lead the church but must be mature as if they are young they will fall in love and forget their first promise, it doesnt say wat that promise is. I suggest you read it yourself because a whole lot of people put their own opinions in as if it came from the bible but in reality they are using a large book that they are hoping you havent read to support their own self formed opinion. I have read quite a few versions and nowhere does it say I cant say 'shit, fuck, want to fuk now or piss off and leave me alone, or I fucken hate how you fucking judge me, it is very fucking Hypocritical behavior' It does get quite technical on the qualities a women should have to lead the church but it definitely says 'should not' not 'must not'! ANyways People will pretend to represent the beleifs of Jesus Christ to support their own fascist veiws. So read it yourself and be careful!!!!
Why ask CHristians?? Non-Christians can tell you just as well as a Christian can. I myself am a Christian but no longer go to church, I see no need it when I look at it this way, the Bible has been passed down over the years, & re-writin people tend to change things & leave some things out. You never hear about how Jesus was a little brat as a child?? They want you to believe that since he was the son of God that he was purfect. You're learning the word of God from a book, that I find to be wrong it's a book!!! its just ridiculous
As for swear words, I agree that it is in the intent that a word becomes profane. Certainly there are words in our culture that are considered as such, but they didn't begin as profanities. And when used in the proper context, they aren't profane. An ass is a kind of donkey-like beast. Hell is believed to be a place. Personally when I feel the over-whelming urge to swear, I just say "Cleveland" and that works for me. Cleveland is my personal profanity.....unless I'm telling someone about the city in Ohio, then it's just Cleveland.
