SO MY B/F & I broke up

not really sure why we ended it, my heart literally hurts. here's the thing. he went off to college this year & i am still back home, neither of us felt a long distance relationship would work out, now i'm crushed. his best friend is still here & wants to go out but i feel a moral obligation to stay away from the best friend. does it really matter at this point? he's probably all over sum college chic right?
