There is a couple in New Zealand being told that they can't name their child a name that has a number in it. Is this right?

4real....It would make some conversations confusing...she'll say something and some other person would respond, 'for real?' and she won't know what to do....or he...it sounds like a girls name though...

Yeah, I wouldn't name a kid with a number either, but I don't want to be the one that stops other people from doing it.

Big Brother.
I don't see how letting people name their kids what they want will cause a collapse in society...In fact it'll give people more names so we don't have 100 ashley's in one room

Still there's no point in restricting names, that's sort of Big Brother-ish don't you think? See you can't say anything bad would happen out of it...In fact, while I don't like anything he does I love the fact that Prince changed his name to a symbol...I would do that if I could think of a cool symbol...You love living with constraints on your creativity? That's so depressing...

I`m all for a debate....alright lets say there were no boundaries for names period....and your sitting in class...you hear normal names...david....scott...ect ect...then you hear #$*^% or jasonx0112459876856354....ok wtf...and yes believe me people would have that name....have you ever played Counter-strike (online video game). also how would you like to be working with a guy named justin666? I`m not saying name your kid with "popular" names...but dont go to the extreme to use numbers.

ok if you allow that to happen then people are going to get even more "creative" and start naming their kids **^&%^&. Just because they can. The reason for limiting the choice of names is so stupid people dont go to that extreme.

Seriously? Man I think you should be able to name the kid whatever the hell you want to, especially the mom, she just popped the kid out and has to spend the next 20 years raising it....I'm for naming it 123...let them do what they want, what harm will there be?

i dont...if you are born into a society which you dont run...i believe you should give a normal name to your kid...if you are that bent out of shape then go find your own damn island and name your kids 123 for all i care. naming someone 4real is just plain stupid
