Ask Alastyr?

Simply put, this is where you can ask me for advice on whatever you want. Depending on the topic of the question, however, I may choose to not answer. Don't expect to receive the answer you want to hear. Flamers will be ignored.

@NII: I'm about to graduate with my Associate's degree (a little late) and move on to my Bachelor's. @bkasperfl: Absolutely not. I myself prefer women to be able use their minds. As for a list, I keep it in my head, but never write it down so that I am the only one who can know the entire list. That way no one can intentionally meet everything on the list to mess with my head. @hotmama: Sounds like he needs to reassess what is truly important in his life, whether it be money, family, or what have you. I would not advise marriage until he can relist his priorities.

okay if i have a boyfriend who has recently asked me to marry him, and we have had a baby together. and the whole time i was pregnant he wanted me to get an abortion. we have argued from the day she was born and he paid more attention to the dog when she was a couple of months old. now that she has gotten a little more personality he is gettin more interested in her, but me and him still argue. we mostly argue about money and cleaning up. but what gets me is i have to pay him back for the things that he buys me but when it comes to him paying me back fot the things that i buy him he never does and then he bitches about it when i ask him for the money. anyways am i in a good relationship and should i marry him?

Is it wrong of me to want a really smart girlfriend...one that can hold her own in a conversation? Is that asking too much? Now that I am divorced out of a 9 year marriage...I DO KNOW what I do NOT want...although still working on the portfolio of what I DO want...got your list?

Simple way to find out. Examine how he treats you and what he says to you. If it's with respect and utmost care for you, then it can be considered love. If it's mostly flattery, in an effort to make you like him more, then...maybe not. Flattery is good, yes, but beware excessive amounts.

I'd ask him, but not straight up. Don't just walk right up to him and ask. Instead, be in a conversation with him, and when there's a silence while you both think of something to say, then ask.
