this might piss some people off
but as one of my sayings goes, "I'm on this earth because of God, and that's to make something of my name, not to make friends." so if I piss you off in any way, shape or form, too bad. I'm opinionated and I speak my opinions, deal with it or kiss my "white" ass.
So, I'm on this site and someone brought up racism. I myself am really sick and tired of every conversation nowadays turning into that.
OK so to African Americans, the ones who blame every little thing on the white man. From one of the few white people who live just like you, let me say this... Stop holding a grudge on us. WE the NEW generation didn't do SHIT to you, just like YOU the NEW generation weren't in your ancestors shoes back in the days of slavery and when racism was still HUGE. YOU have opportunities today that your ancestors didn't. Take advantage of that opportunity, stay off the streets and get an education. You do have a brain no matter what one, two or a few ignorant white people say. Use that, if you're holding such a big grudge, use it in a positive way and not a negative. Show them that you can be whatever you want to be. YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE YOU CAN!
It isn't the 1800-1960's anymore! So let me give you two examples of what you can do, because keep in mind, if they could do this much back then, just imagine what you could do.
When slavery existed, what did they do? They turned a negative situation and made something positive. What am I talking about? The Underground Railroad. They made a system that would help their fellow people to get out of that situation and to freedom. They bonded together and helped one another out.
In 1966, what did Huey P Newton and Bobby Seale do? They created a positive and created, the Black Panther Party of Self-Defense. Which was made to protect their fellow people from racism and police brutality.
Now then, you yourself don't even have it as hard as they did back in those days. So if you get yourself an education such as Fred Hampton, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X and Huey P Newton (just to name a few). Then just imagine what you could do now. Turn your negativity and your negative situations into a positive. It is possible, and a lot more easier to do than back in those days.
Though instead, you would rather be on the streets, selling drugs, stealing cars, breaking into houses, and stealing other peoples money. So you can call yourself a hustler, because you look up to rappers who are speaking of what they do (which if you think about it, they're rich from all the CDs they sell, not from how many ounces of dope they sell) although when you get arrested for it you say it's racism. You would rather wear a red or blue bandanna and call yourself a Blood or Crip and fight your fellow people rather than to get an education and help your fellow people.
That my friend is not racism, that my friend is ignorance, on your part. I'm not saying racism doesn't still exist, *COUGH* UH NO, keep in mind, I live in the south where it's still pretty big. ALTHOUGH it isn't as big as a lot of people are making it out to be. It's not so big as to where you can't go to school every day, focus real hard on it and then graduate high school with a scholarship. Then go off to college to get even more of an education to get a LEGAL well paying job that will keep you away from the streets.
Instead of griping and bitching about how you're tired of people talking about you and your fellow people. Do something about it, turn that negative into a positive and help your fellow people. Stop fighting one another, and instead, help one another.
