Umm.. in Finland you always have separate senior and junior highs. You have to apply to the senior high, and not all get in. To me the jump was a bit different than it normaly is in here because I applied into a music senior high. Music aint compulsary after grade 7 (grades are 7, 8 and 9 in junior high) and then I had about 15-20 hours music a week as best. Friends pretty much changed cos was never popular in junior high. The music school had very small classes, just 12 on each line (music, drawing and humanechology) so the relations betwean was very close. Also even if you were a bit of a weird one you was accepted in. Doupt there were many "normal" ones.. heh. Other than taht. the teachers really knew their students. (here you don't adress with last name, every one with first name) One teacher actually brought soup to a lonely student while he was sick cos she was worried. Maybe there's a bit material for you if a bit internationalty wont harm.. any questions just message me..
