They've cured type-1 diabetes in mice, and are currently trying to test it on human subjects, but the funding is hard. If he would support it, the tests on humans could be performed. But don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, diabetes is a blessing to me, but for all the kids who are hurting from it... ya know?
hey wait a minute? Whats wrong with having summers off? We might not be an agricultral society but getting summers off is a good thing...a nice little break.
I like bush, I think going into iraq was a smart descison, as for him being against stem cell reseach, I don't know, sure finding a cure for diebetes will be helpful, but whats to say that they will find it? PLus you might be killing a baby with stem cell research, it all just depends on where you believe life begins.
I truly dislike him. I'm not just a dumb Bush-hater though. My reasoning is that he is against stem-cell research. Being a diabetic, stem-cell would be very nice to have...
1)Our schools suck and have needed reform for a long time, I mean hello we still take the summers off like we're still an agricultural society. I personally believe school vouchers would be a good solution as well as year round school, but at least Bush was trying to do something about the horrible state of our education system.
2) May be weird but one of the reasons I like him is that although he has been accused of doing drugs (coke) in college none of his friends from that time period have ever come forward to confirm this. Clinton on the other had all kinds of people coming out of the woodworks to give dirt on him. Not saying that Bush might not have done drugs or anything but at least he surrounded himself with people that could be trusted to keep secrets, i.e. he's a better judge of character.
