Do you think they should allow hazing in the military. I heard that the one drill instructor from Parris Island hazed a kid so bad he jumped out a third story window and killed himself. Let me know what you think.
But when this happens and they kill themselves it makes the drill instructors look really bad. Yes some of them are dicks but a lot of them are really cool and easy to get along with. They are just doing there jobs. Most people that come out of bootcamp are glad they stuck to it and finished. When they go to there mos school they find out that they can make there training enjoyable and find ways around stuff so that its not so bad.
Well when you are in boot camp it is stressful but its not all that bad. People all the time kill themselves there for some reason. And they tell you if you run away they are not going to chase you. You will get in some trouble but at least you are alive. Its called UA. If you go back they just put you right back in training and the days you missed don't count toward your training and you have to go longer. They know ahead of time what they are putting themselves into and they think they can handle it but they find out they are not the men they think they are.
When you sign up for the military, you're signing your life over to them for the next 4 years...most people aren't going to kill themselves, but military training is extremely stressful on you (especially bootcamp) and those who can't handle it, will go to the extremes to try to get back out. And I agree with what you said as well.
I think its fine because they would crack in wartime scenarios and if they went through the trouble of getting to the boot camp just to kill themselves they would have died on the field anyways. I am glad it weasels out the week ones. I just wish they didn't have to kill themselves they can just run away.
