Cursing

i realize that many people have a problem with it, but honestly i really dont, i do realize that at certain times, it is inappropriate, but really, think about it like this... its only a word, just a little word, no different from "cat" "chair" or "bedroom", and just because someone randomly decided to attach a negative connotation to a word does not mean that i should feel obligated to not use it, heres a simi-funny analogy, language is like food, we love food, we need food, but what is food without salt, its bland and boring, why not mix things up w/ a "salty" word or two and take everyone for a loop...lol, so any thoughts?

Or what Jews think of usage of the word Nazi, and what Homosexuals think of the word faggot.

curse words do carry hatred with them some of the time, when it comes down to it it IS just a word, but its intended use, and its origins is what really matters. I mean just ask a black person what they think of the word "nigger", sometimes its not just a word.

its. Anyway, I don't care if people cuss. I do it all the time, virtually speaking, though not often on the internet, but your premise is flawed.

Insightful? Well, fair enough. Tell me, did you verify your assertion that so called curse words were randomly given negative connotations? What does the etymology of a given curse word tell us of it's intended use, and how does it compare, say to the etymology of the orange? How does the apple compare to the orange?

interesting analogy, i curse all the time, i don't do it when i am trying to hold a conversation, but if i am mad or i hurt myself it just popps out, luckily my 4 yr old tells ME not to, and she never picked up the habit
