Fade Away

I sink lower into the water

Trying to wash away all that's not right

As memories turn into tear

The water turns them into ashes

I reach for the bottle one last time

I did my best to drink you away

But now I drink for courage

The courage to sink deeper, the courage to end the pain

You seem so far away now

As the porclain bowl pulls me closer

I feel the warmth of it's embrase
