Bludgeoned To Death

Views (129) Tragedy Created on 4-30-07 Flag
Around, all around, the shadows amass.
My dread grows as the stroke of emptiness falls against my darkened heart.
The weight of a thousand shadowy thoughts crushes me and
darkly, my life's blood drips to the wicked earth that is my prison.
Dark rays of emptiness enter this prison as I kneel,
always alone, always in pain, frozen here, waiting.
Tortured forms wrought in dark shapes loom
as fear dances in the air, forming an image in my mind,
penetrating my darkened soul, tears on my face.
In agony I call your name
while nothingness looms.
Now alone, my fervent plea falls upon uncaring ears.
I raise my head, now embracing this oblivious fate.
For this, this is my doom.

KKKonfederacy Amazing, feeling and emotion captured not only rythmatically, but symbolically too. I feel that this poem brings a feeling to me like so little other poems on this site do. Kudos to you!
