Seemingly distant
Bittersweet smiles,
Downcast eyes,
Hollow laughs.
It's a never ending cycle of loneliness,
But she seem's content with it it.
Does she think this is as good as it gets?
Or is it possible, that she thinks she doesn't deserve anything better?
Always apologizing, always blaming herself for everything around her,
Mentality of a mistake that is regretted everyday,
Convinced noone truly cares,
No matter what is said.
She's convinced herself it's better to love,
Than be loved.
She lies to herself so often,
She now believes every thought without a hitch.
She doesn't notice it herself,
But can noone see the yearning look in her eyes?
Can noone feel the longing in her heart?
Can noone hear the undeniable hope in her voice?
Yearning, longing, hopeing for someone to just prove her wrong.
Prove to her she can be loved,
Prove to her that she can be wanted,
Prove anything to her other than what she believes,
Before she completely gives up,
Before it's too late...
Downcast eyes,
Hollow laughs.
It's a never ending cycle of loneliness,
But she seem's content with it it.
Does she think this is as good as it gets?
Or is it possible, that she thinks she doesn't deserve anything better?
Always apologizing, always blaming herself for everything around her,
Mentality of a mistake that is regretted everyday,
Convinced noone truly cares,
No matter what is said.
She's convinced herself it's better to love,
Than be loved.
She lies to herself so often,
She now believes every thought without a hitch.
She doesn't notice it herself,
But can noone see the yearning look in her eyes?
Can noone feel the longing in her heart?
Can noone hear the undeniable hope in her voice?
Yearning, longing, hopeing for someone to just prove her wrong.
Prove to her she can be loved,
Prove to her that she can be wanted,
Prove anything to her other than what she believes,
Before she completely gives up,
Before it's too late...
