Quit playing games with my heart
My heart isn't meant to be fooled
It's not meant to be picked on
I was really destined to be loved
And to be cared for
Quit playing games with my heart
There isn't any time for that
Oh baby please don't take it personal
I can't be with someone
If they don't love me back
My heart wasn't inevitable to be cheated on
It isn't made to be beaten around
It's not here just so you can use me
Baby, you obviously don't know how I feel
You put me through so much pain
I'll be here and there
Where ever we used to share
Believe me, I ain't got a heart for breakin'
Baby, I'm not coming back once it's ruined,
Unless you quit playing games with my heart

I feel as if this poem is both sad and triumphant. The author is heart broken because their lover cheated on them, and yet it seems as though you're willing to move on, like this isn't the end of the line. Exactly how I felt when my girl friend cheated on me a couple years ago. (She's now my ex because of it.) Great job! |
