a new pain wells up inside. the same, but new. it scratches at the surface of my very being. taking bits and bits away. pieces. from whatever was left.
the pain i thought i could never feel again. but i was wrong. the same hunger. the same ache, for someone. wanting to be loved, to be shown love the same way. but, just as before, things are left unclear. to clarify them would worsen the pain. for the response would only leave me helpless.
helpless. hungry. waiting. for that person. the one that i want to come along and pick me up. to rejuvinate me and restore what was lost.
