Failed Task

Views (49) Lyric Created on 7-9-07 Flag

Words can not express the hatered for herself,
Given and recievin moments of comfort called hugs.
So confident of herself, all the while not knowing.
It shatteres, something snapped, she's turning to drugs.

She's peeling the mask,
Shunning her friend,
Unscrewing that flask,
Not using the pen,
She's failed her task.

She's given up on the only shread of hope,
Where else to go but a home called Hell.
She'll get caught up in problems and worse.
But she'll trip eventually and now she fell.

She's peeling the mask,
Shunning her friend,
Unscrewing that flask,
Not using the pen,
She's failed her task.

For people who care, take this short lesson,
Rearrange "care" you get the word race,
To describe our small family of lies,
We're not keeping each other's pace.

She's loseing her time, thought, room,
And nothing to grasp is in that reach.
NOt knowing at all and loosing her breath,
There was nothing left to teach.

She's peeling the mask,
Shunning her friend,
Unscrewing that flask,
Not using the pen,
She's failed her task.

Screams fill up so no one can hear,
Words are cracking, crashing trust.
Live life by only on moment of joy,
When life it's self is gathering dust.

She's broken the mask,
Destroyed her friend,
Shattered that flask,
Stabbed with the pen,
She's failed her task.
