Falling Confusion

You and me

On a cliff

This heavy burden

I wish to lift.

Love and hate

Have forced me here

Losing you

Is what I fear.

With one little shove

You’ll fall off the side

“My pain is gone”

To myself I lied.

With one last glance

To the bottom I ran

I want to catch you

So there I’ll stand.

I can’t let you die

My love is too strong.

I thought I hated you

But I guess I thought wrong.

Broken and confused

My heart is torn

With you in my arms

Another pain is born.
