Should I give this poem to my crush on Valentines Day??
Well, before you answer, you're probably gonna need some background...So there's this girl I like and she's my friend. She knows I like her and she has told my best friend that she doesn't feel the same, but I decided I'm not going to give up that easy, so I wrote this poem and I want to give it to her. I think I"m going to give it to her anonomously, but I still am not sure whether or not I should...so if you could, please, give me your opinions. I would really appreciate it :) Thanks!
I feel their wings, beating silently inside of me
I feel my heart beat, faster and faster, as you come near
If only you could feel their wings beating silently
And if only the beating of my heart, you could hear You are the whispers in my head that keep me alive
You are the scent in the air, that keeps me breathing
I listen to your voice, so that I continue to strive
And I breathe in your scent, so my breath does not leave me
You are the shadows in the night, that follow behind
You are the wind in the trees, that sets them free
I walk where there is light, so your shadow, I will find
And I walk among the trees, so I will feel your breeze
I will forever feel, these wings beating silently inside of me
And my heart will beat faster, the more you come near
Only you will never feel the wings, beating silently
And the racing of my heartbeat, you will never hear
