Cutters' Lullaby 2 |
Runaway
I want to runaway to a place
Where I can no longer see your face
But that place will never be there
Because you know life is not fair
I want to runaway somewhere far
Without a plane, or train or car
I want to run on my bare feet
And feel the earth shake beneath the street
I want to runaway to somewhere fake
Where I can walk across a silver lake
And watch as pigs fly way up high
And smile because I forgot to cry
I want to runaway in my dreams
Where nothing is ever as it seems
And reality begins to fade away
The longer that I decide to stay
I want to runaway to a safe place
Somewhere that I cannot see your face
I want to run without a glance
But I know I will never have that chance
