A fragile soul
I look in her eyes
The look she gives
Is that of surprise
Hiding behind
A mask everyday
Never wanting to know
Never trying to say
A smile is not there
A firm grimace of pain
The thoughts in her head
Driving her insane
I want to help her
I wan to reach out
I want to hear her
As she screams and shouts
I want to feel her
To know she lives
I want to say sorry
And know she forgives
You don’t understand
Why I can’t wipe the tear
For the girl I am seeing
Is on the other side of the mirror
