My Best Friend

  My Best Friend.  A girl who can make me laugh.  A girl who can cheer me up.  A girl who's smart.  A girl who's beautiful.  A girl who's kind.  This girl is my best friend.

  I dream of a world where we're alone.  A world without evil.  A world without sin.  A world without interuptions.  A world without danger.  A world without hate.  In this world we would be alone.

  I imagine the kiss.  We sit on the rooftop.  We gaze at the stars.  We look at each other.  We come closer.  Our lips touch.  This is my first kiss.

  It cannot be.  She is my friend.  The best friend I will ever have.  But nothing more.  She will never truly see me.  The way I see her.  This is why it cannot be.

  My best friend.  A girl who can make me laugh.  A girl who can cheer me up.  A girl who's smart.  A girl who's beautiful.  A girl who's kind.  This girl is my best friend.
