I speed up my step

Without making a sound

I'm so anxious,my eyes

Never leave the ground

I walk faster and faster

Not really seeing

I hope I'll get there

I just can't quit thinking

Three more turns

And I'll be home

Just two more turns

Where I won't be alone

One more turn

I'm almost there

Almost to my place

I'll get there, I swear

I take that last turn

As if I'm in a race

My smile blooms bright

When I see his beloved face

It seemed so long

As I ran down the street

But only seconds went by

As I covered the last feet

I open the screen door

And I know I'm home

His arms slip around me

I'm in my comfort zone
