Love Is Not What It Seems

He came home today
The man of my dreams
Although appearances
Are not what they seem
I have no reason to see him
And no reason to cry
Because I have shed all my tears
From the years that passed by
He left my heart broken
When he decided to go
If he would ever come back
I fear I didn't know
Now he returns
As if nothing has changed
He will never know all the tears
He will never know my pain
I have sworn an oath
That I shall not feel
Because no one can undo
My wounds that won't heal
So I have decided
That all of my life
I will love no man
That can easily loose his life
Because the pain of not knowing
Is the worst pain of all
As you sit by the phone
And hope he will call
So as I sit here now
Still in my teens
I will tell you love
Is not what it seems

this somehow got deleted off of here so i am re-posting it.........I wrote this when I was younger........its about lost love.......i didn't go thru it myself......it was simply something that came out while writting..... I just thought of how a girl would feel if her  bf/crush/good friend/whatever went off to war.......I got stuck on the ending so thats where the age thing comes from.....I was in my teens so I just decided to put that....
