Surrender

i listen to the cry
of a lonely, empty tree
patient and willing
waiting for this dream
hiding from my fear
running from the pain
wishing for the breeze
to take my soul away

sometimes i hear
what really isnt there
sometimes i feel
pain too much to bare
sometimes i scream
words so loud and clear
but no one's there to hear
no one seems to care

i cry out to the tree
in hope that he is there
patient and waiting
for him i bare my fear
surrender all my love
embracing all the pain
finding for my self
nothing is gonna change
