a wise man once said
to not get to attached to this plain
for coveting anything in it is vain
instead prepare for when your dead
i took his words to heart
didn’t value this place
what was in front of my face
never saw it as great art
now i think back to that fool
preparing for the heaven he felt was there
not seeming to care
that he had the wool
pulled over his eyes
heaven is all around us
you made me realize that on the bus
made me see through the lies
made me enjoy this time
that’s why i wrote this rhyme
for showing me what I would have missed
just by giving one simple kiss
