are you listening?
do you care?
are you even still there?
why let this happen?
she doesn’t deserve this
there is so much she will miss
she did not do anything wrong
so why put her in pain
make her suffer till nothing remains
maybe you just were not watching
didn’t notice this occur
and this prayer will make you stir
or is this really part of your plan?
you just want your angle back
the one heaven now lacks
but haven’t you taken enough?
must you have her too
one of my last few
who truly make me care
about what happens to me
if only to see
her smiling face everyday
and simply hear her say
I love you
some ask you for power
some ask you for wealth
some ask you for glory
some ask you for strength
some ask you for courage
some ask you for protection
I ask you for nothing
I can get by
but I ask for her

If you believe she's in heaven shouldn't that make you happy? I'm asking from a poetic standpoint. Obviously you would be compelled not to be happy. Lastly, it seems the mood is bitter or angry at an omnipotent being... is that the case? |
