Move On

The shuffling of feet reverberates

The walls, showing weakness

Will soon succumb to the drone

The inhabitants, facing a similar fate

Find solace through the knowledge they are not alone

The empire I helped create, it is crumbling

The booming voice I was gifted reduced to mumbling

They are unaware, not concerned

Eternity does not favor this glass sphere they soon will learn

Ignorance is bliss as long as ignorance exists

The past has perished, but I've moved on

Navigating the cosmos to discover the next sun

Life is hard to foster, impossible to sustain

In the end, would I have it any other way?

I am just a mere pawn in an ethereal game.
