i hope you do love me

i hope you are true

because im pregnant

and the daddy is you

please dont get mad

its not the end of our fun

we'll be together

with a daughter or son

dont be a dead beet dad

i know this feels wrong

but my tummys getting bigger

it wont be long

i think about us

and our child all the time

i know you'll be a good daddy

just dont be like mine          (author note-my dad left before i was born)  

 please dont let our child

grow up without a dad

you think the child wont notice

or be angry and sad

but thats right you wont be there

you wont hear the child cry

all because his daddy

didnt want to try

please think about it

just for awile

but you gotta think

this is the life of a child

Babyboo1507 Every guy needs to read this before he decides to not be in his childs life just cuz he's scared or doesn't want to grow up. You let em know it's not about them it's about the child and that's the message that needs to be let out.

mcihellejane This one is powerful and the message is one that I feel quite strongly about myself. It's not because my parents didn't care-they did and they were/are wonderful parents. But it's because I'm having problems with getting pregnant and it just pisses me off to see all the people who have kids and don't take care of them or just use them for sympathy or against one another. I noticed below you said that you had a miscarriage-I feel for you, hon. My first and only pregnancy ended that way as well. It still tears me up inside, though I know the time just wasn't right. I've written a similar poem though mine was directed to the worthless mothers of the world. Anyhow, I really loved this poem though it is very sad.
