You stole my addiction
Vunerable I was that day
And threw it so carelessly away
Denying it when I confronted ou
You pretended to sleep so you wouldn't hear my withdrawel
Refusing to admit you had no conscience
I fired retorts that fell on deaf ears
Even now, burning in sweat and shivering
my need so powerful I'm suffocated by air
Skin tingling and eyes blinded by white noise
My throat's strangling itself
I feel like dying
But you, unmoved by my silent desperate protests
You continue building your empire
In earnest ignorance, you turn away.
