Trapped
Fifteen minutes in a trivial maze seems more and more like a lifetime
Haggard and gleaming, heartless and fleeing, muted and inside the rain
Snow globe on slow-mo, a neverending haze, could that be you with your back on parade
Needy and cut-throat, freezing and envoked, pragmatic and just in the way
Canary style on a swing, broken wing, my cage in my room in my house in my dreams
Cancerous and diluted, mistaken and intruded, Wishful and needing a key

Very nice, man. How insane is your world making you? How far is your world driving you to the cliff? Are you willing to blow your brains out to be free? What would you do for the key? I like the description - The average person would say it's hopeless and urge you to be happier, but those feelings fade when you've been locked inside yourself for years to come. The reflection is unoriginal but a new twist added. Nice poem. |
