Before You

I was in a daze, just walking around for days,
in no directions, my heart in sections, head down,
my face a perminant frown, no one knew me, I heard
whispers "who could she be?" I let no one in, pain
had scalded my skin, I had lost so much before, why
let anyone create a new sore, then I saw you & smiled,
you asked me a question, I felt like a child, I blushed
pink, my heart began to sink, no, I can't love, all
that I love dies, this world is full of lies, But my
heart wanted attention, you had to ask the question, I
said ok, inside I wondered if you would stay, maybe
that's why I stared, afraid you would dissapear, then
my heart would again feel the spear, you held my hand,
I was scared it would turn to sand, like times past,
but your spell was cast, with every touch I feel your
heat, every moment I hear your heart beat, I have loved
you from our first kiss, though at times we do miss,
I love you, just like I know you love me too.
