Purpose

Views (25) Joy Created on 3-30-08 Flag

Lonely and forgotten it seems,

For there are no birds to nest in its branches,

No children to play around its trunk.

Old as the earth,

But still it stands waiting for a purpose.

Seasons come and go,

Mountains fall and rise.

But still noble it stands as the years pass it by.

Then one night a horrible storm lashes its branches back and forth.

But still it stood tall and strong.

When morning came two beautiful birds where found,

Looking for seeds around its trunk.

And nested in its branches.

Now, the tree is full of purpose.
