This morning I wake up
and think, Whats gonna happen today to me?
and then I remember that old saying
no one but me can chart my destiny.
No one can
tell me how to live my life!
No one can
tell me which path is right!
I grab the clothes I want to wear
and pull them on to me
walk outside to the grand outdoors
and say, Look at these things I see!
No one can
tell me what to do!
No one can
do that to me, not even you!
Look at all those people walking by
look at how they walk and see
that they do not
rule their own destiny!
I say to them
Look at yourselves, its pathetic!
Get up on your feet, for real this time
Now listen to me, are you ready?
No one can
tell you how to live your lifes!
No one can
tell you which path is right!
So go out there
and live your life
go out and have the times
you've always wanted, just do it right!
And now I say to them
I walk alongside you
but I do not, no I don't
think the things you do!
Because we are all different
no one knows everything
about us, not one single person
So get up and do your own thing, because
No one can
tell you how to live your life!
No one can
tell you which path is right!
Just go on out there
and live your life.
